Silvaloy 505 is the best general purpose filler metal available. Silvaloy 505 primarily joins nickel and iron base alloys, but it can also join other non-ferrous metals. Due to its nickel content, it is excellent at preventing interface corrosion on stainless steel as well as promoting wetting on more difficult to wet base metals. The alloy is very fluid and can fill long, narrow joints.
